Born and raised in Killeen, Texas, he currently lives in Houston, Texas. He received a Bachelor degree from Lamar University, where he excelled in academics and athletics. Mr. Bolden began his professional career as a Juvenile Probation Officer.
A successful businessman and former athlete, Mr. Bolden spends his time mentoring students and giving speeches designed to inspire successful options for their futures. In December 2007, Mr. Bolden received the prestigious Jefferson Award for the mentoring program he developed to improve the plight of elementary through college students. In 2006, he chronicled his life experiences in the book: ”I’m a Man Who Happens To Be Black”. He has been featured in the Houston Chronicle, Gospel Truth Magazine, Sonic Boom Magazine and several trade publications, in addition to frequent Television and radio appearances. He is a seasoned public speaker and authority on the topics involving solutions for at-risk youth. Mr. Bolden created the B.R.O.T.H.E.R.S. (Believers Reaching Out To Help Erase Racial Stereotypes) Campaign and CLUB SUCCESS to facilitate his commitment to help young people successfully interact with people from all walks of life.
